About me

Hi, I’m Marleen — a UI/UX designer with a unique blend of skills in design, languages, and business development. My journey into the world of digital design has been shaped by a strong foundation in communication and user-focused content creation, allowing me to approach design problems with both empathy and strategic thinking.

I recently completed my Web Design studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts, where I deepened my skills in UI/UX design, content design, and front-end development. I’m proficient in Figma and comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript to bring designs to life.

I have worked 7 years as as a business development manager, where I have built lasting partnerships, and refined website content to align with both user needs and business goals.

My international background adds another layer to my work. I’ve lived and worked across different countries — from teaching English in Brazil to studying in Spain — and I speak five languages (Estonian, English, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese), working comfortably in three of them. This cultural and linguistic fluency helps me collaborate effectively across diverse teams and design for a global audience.
